When you’re installing an in-ground swimming pool, an important consideration is what type of material you want to use for the pool deck. Now each material has its own merits. To explore this, below are several different types of material which can be used for pool decks:
Stamped concrete: This is concrete which has another substance patterned look. It can; therefore, look like brick, stone, flagstone, wood or even tile. The cost of stamped concrete is reasonable and comes in a variety of patterns and colors. It can also be used to blend in with other stone elements around the residence.
Stenciled concrete: Stenciled concrete designs are made when the concrete is poured. This concrete comes in a variety of colors, textures and patterns. You can also put in monograms, any special design or even your company logo; the stencil pattern is only matched by your imagination. It can be sealed with a protective coating too which will protect your design from stains, dirt and the elements.
Concrete toppings: This is used when you want to cover up the boring grey concrete you have around your pool now. With textured and colored overlays it will brighten up about any surface. One thing to keep in mind; however, is that the topping is only as good as the base which it’s applied to. If the base isn’t solid, then the overlay won’t adhere to it correctly.
Colored concrete: With colored concrete you can chose a hue which will accent or compliment whatever elements which are already surrounding your pool. Colored concrete comes in just about any hue of color you can imagine too. It can be used in combinations with other concrete also, or it can be stamped with a variety of textures. Additionally it can look like bricks or tiles, or like flagstones or pavers stones.
Having a choice of what you want to put around your pool is now easier than ever.
