DIRECTIONS FOR USE
It is a violation of Federal Law to use this product in a manner inconsistent with its labeling. Please read entire label and use strictly in accordance with precautionary statements and directions. Do not apply this product in a way that will contact adults, children, or pets, either directly or through drift.
General Precautions and Restrictions
Do not apply when swimmers are in the immediate vicinity. Do not allow reentry to the pool for 15 minutes. This product requires no special equipment for treating swimming pool water. The correct use dilution may be added directly to the pool in any spot or added to the water circulation equipment. This product works the best when added by itself directly to pool water.
This product is compatible with most chemicals normally used in swimming pool maintenance: however, in its concentrated form, this chemical should not come in contact with high concentrations of chlorine or any other oxidizer. DO NOT MIX THIS PRODUCT AND CHLORINE OR ANY OTHER OXIDIZER TOGETHER before adding to the pool. These chemicals should be handled separately. This product is not a stand-alone product. It must be used with halogen based pool sanitizers.

Pre-Application Dose Determination: For algae treatments, applicators should conduct initial dose determination tests simulating a full-scale treatment program to determine the minimum efficacious concentrations for eliminating the target species, unless an effective dose is already known for the given target pest population.

Initial Dose: When pool has visible algae growth, add 1 quart (32 oz.) of Aqua Pure Algaecide (0.14 lbs. metallic copper) per 20,000 gallons of pool water by distributing around pool perimeter. One half hour (30 minutes) after adding algaecide, add three gallons (3 gals.) liquid chlorine per 10,000 gallons of water, or 2 lbs. dry chlorine per 10,000 gallons of water, or 2 lbs. dry chlorine (Calcium Hypochlorite) or equivalent other types dry chlorine, per 10,000 gallons water. Add Aqua Pure Algaecide to water by itself, do not mix or premix with other pool chemicals. Aqua Pure is non-corrosive at use dilutions to inanimate surfaces.

Discontinue swimming until chlorine residual is 1 ppm. Keep filter system operating continuously for 48 hours after treatment.

Backwash filter as required and brush pool daily. Vacuum the pool before and after algae treatment.

Maintenance dose (pool is free of visible algae): Add 4 oz. Aqua Pure Algaecide (0.02 lbs. metallic copper) per 20,000 gallons of pool water every two weeks during the swimming season.

Maintain pH of pool water in the range of 7.2 to 7.6 and maintain correct chlorine residual.
Each graduation of side of bottle represents approximately 2 ounces.

Discharge Directions: Before draining a treated pool contact your local sanitary sewer and storm drain authorities and follow their discharge instructions. Do not discharge treated pool or spa water to any location that flows to a gutter, storm drain or natural water body unless discharge is allowed by state and local authorities.

STORAGE AND DISPOSAL
Do not contaminate water, food, or feed by storage or disposal.
PESTICIDE STORAGE: Store in original containers and place in locked storage area. Keep from freezing. SPILLS OR LEAK PROCEDURES: Small spill may be mopped up and flushed away with water or absorbed on some absorbent material and incinerated.
PESTICIDE DISPOSAL: Pesticide wastes are acutely hazardous. Improper disposal of excess pesticide, spray mixture, or rinsate is a violation of Federal Law. If these wastes cannot be disposed of by use according to label instructions, contact your State Pesticide or Environmental Control Agency, or the Hazardous Waste Representative at the nearest EPA Regional Office for guidance.
CONTAINER HANDLING: Non-refillable container. Do not reuse or refill this container. Triple rinse as follows: Empty the remaining contents into a mix tank and drain for 10 seconds after the flow begins to drip. Fill the container ¼ full with water and recap. Shake for 10 seconds. Store rinsate for later use or disposal. Drain for 10 seconds after the flow begins to drip. Repeat this procedure two more times. Offer for recycling, if available, or puncture and dispose of in a sanitary landfill, or by incineration, or, if allowed by state and local authorities, by burning. If burned, stay out of smoke.
